JAMISON DOUGLAS REID

the info This is Jamison Reid, but you can call him "Jamie." He was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. Daddy still works at the Ford plant, Mama still cooks at the diner, and his seventeen-year-old sister, Robin, is finishing up high school. Even though Jamie misses the hustle and bustle of city life, he couldn't see himself living there forever like Mom and Dad. Plus, Detroit isn't exactly America's most charming city. As soon as he finished college, he decided it was time for a change.
Daddy might have built cars, but Jamie's always had his eyes on the sky. Ever since he was a little boy, airplanes have fascinated him. He was hooked from the very first time he set foot on a plane as a kid. Jamie's uncle, Frank, was a flight instructor in Oklahoma, and whenever the family would visit, he'd take Jamie up in one of his smaller planes. Jamie loved all kinds of airplanes, but the jumbo jets were by far his favorite, so he took flight lessons in college and made it his goal to become an airline pilot.
The airline biz, though, was far from welcoming to Jamie. Airlines value flight hours and seniority, making it nearly impossible for a young pilot to start working for them right off the bat. Jamie worked for his Uncle Frank for a year to help build up his record. He was then offered a position as a copilot for a small airline, Eagle Airways. One year later, he's a pilot for that same airline.
Jamie works long hours, and the pay is far from stellar. Sleep's a thing of the past, he drinks an unhealthy amount of caffeine, and he's used to staying in grungy hotel rooms. He moved to Crystal Lake, a completely unfamiliar town, to be closer to the airline's head of operations. But he does it all with a smile on his face, because he knows it'll all pay off someday.
Aside from that, he loves singing along to Motown music, spicy food, swimming, and traveling (for leisure, not work).
the friends Jamie's not everyone's cup of tea, but he's never had trouble making friends in the past. He radiates confidence - the way he walks, speaks, dresses, carries himself - and a lot of people are drawn to that. He's polite, sociable, and knows how to make a good first impression. He has a sharp sense of humor and is good at getting along with people, at least on a shallow level. It takes a little more work to befriend him on a deeper level, but it's very possible. Work keeps him busy, so whenever he has free time, he takes advantage of it. He loves to go out on the weekends for some drinks, so drinking buddies are very welcome.
Jamie hates to be bored, so his favorite kind of person is someone who can keep him on his toes. Someone who challenges him, likes him but isn't afraid to cut him down to size from time to time. Someone who's always willing to try something new and exciting (well, as "new and exciting" as Crystal Lake gets, anyway). But he'll need someone in his life who encourages him to stop and smell the roses. He's a busy, very ambitious guy, but sometimes you just have to relax and do nothing.
the lovers Jamie's only had two serious relationships in the past, both while he was in college. The longest one lasted for about a year and a half. He'd like to settle down someday, but he's in no rush right now. His job has him traveling all over the place every day, which makes it hard to keep up with a girlfriend. He knows he's getting a little old for one night stands, but he won't say no if she's pretty enough (or if he's drunk enough). Jamie doesn't have a single ideal woman in mind; she just has to be interesting and willing to keep up with him.
the enemies Jamie's confidence can come back to bite him. It's very easy for him to come across as an arrogant prick sometimes. His jokes can get a little mean-spirited. He likes to talk about himself, and he doesn't always take others as seriously as he should, both of which can rub people the wrong way. Jamie doesn't go around picking fights, but he'll absolutely confront someone if need be. He's rarely gotten violent in the past, but he sure has gotten angry, and he's not afraid to do it again. Jamie tries to recognize his shortcomings, but hey, old habits die hard.
thank you noa ?! of caution!
