| [atrb=border,0,true] to be honest, holly really didn't have a clue why she was here. so what shannon guilted her into coming to the party. you'll have fun she said. you promised she said. well, yes, holly did promise, but, no this was anything but fun yet. she made her way into the house party alone, her eyes scanning the room for her best friend but alas she couldn't place her anywhere. of course, it was a huge house, and there were tons of people packed into every room. she was bound to be around there somewhere. holly slowly took in the scene. couples made out of every possible surface. people danced so close it was hard to tell where one body started and ended. she saw a couple of kids from her art history class smoking weed in the corner. girls danced on tables spilling there drinks all over them and passersby. it even looked like a couple of people were doing coke on the coffee table. complete sodom and gomorrah. holly had to laugh a little. her older sister would just die if she knew where she was. maybe shannon had been right though. holly needed to loosen up.
she stepped over a passed out guy and walked into the kitchen. alcohol was flowing like the land of milk and honey. she grabbed a red solo cup and poured some whiskey and mixer in it. she downed it all in a matter of minutes. when in doubt, drink to make things less awkward. holly knew this probably wouldn't be her best idea, but what the hell. she finished her last exam that morning. time to celebrate, right? she made herself one more drink and then found herself out where everyone was dancing. one of her guy friends twirled her around, and she laughed and began dancing with the group of people. she threw her hands up and flipped her hair with every movement. holly knew she probably looked like a hot mess. she wasn't really the greatest dancer ever, but she didn't care at the moment. about forty-five minutes had passed since she arrived, and she had to admit she was feeling a bit tipsy. maybe it was the few drinks or maybe it was the intoxicating atmosphere. she declined the next dance with the group and made her way outside on a large balcony for some air.
she stumbled slightly but regained her balance quickly. a cool breeze rose in the air and made her feel a more sobered up. hearing a nose, she turned quickly spotting a guy. strange, she thought she'd been out here alone. hey uh oops. didn't realize this spot was taken. she said looking over at him. i'll just be...going now...
ooc: these will get better. just dead tired and didn't have a ton of time~ c:

promise to love me [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=style, width: 350px; background-color:#af9ea8; padding:0px;]
Parties. To be honest they weren't really the thirty year olds idea of a great time, however it was the best place to make money. Many people knew he was a town cop, however the kids here never spoke a word about it. He was often a supplier to many of them and hardly ever busted any one, just a few here and there to make it look like he was doing his job. However he always paid them back in good measure so there was never any sour grapes. Still, that didn't mean that a party full of drunken teens and young adults, was his cup of tea. The only reason the man showed up for things like this, was the good money that came from them. Anyone had to be a fool to pass up a good pay day. Between stealing his drugs from the evidence room and selling them fro a steep price to the kids, he was making a killing. He only made money, never spent, and always kept some for himself. It was a good deal. Not to mention the fact that he had the money he made from being a cop. There was no way to loose when you were him, other than the risk of people finding out what you really did for a living. Still, Preston was good at hiding that. He had done all of this for many years. It wasn't like he was rookie or anything.
Making his rounds, he tried to sell as much as he could as fast as he could. It seemed that he was the main supplier of the night, which made it easier to get rid of the large amount of drugs he had on him. He had anything from coke, to weed, to even some good pills, things like xo's and acid tabs. It was a good pay day for him, however he still found himself holding on to a bit of drugs. Some he was saving for himself, others were things he had been hoping to get rid of. He knew his prices were higher than normal, however most people were more than willing to pay once in a party like this one. After all, they didn't have many other options at this point. He knew if he waited till some of the kids got drunk, he would have a better chance of selling.
It wasn't long before the drunk girls were making their way to his arm. While normally Preston was the kind of man who was all about the ladies, after a long day at the station and now a long night here, he wasn't in the mood for drunken sex or sloppy girls. He could have those any time on any night. Looking for a place to escape, the man slid onto the balcony, pulling out a cigarette from his jacket pocket and sliding it between his lips, lightly it as he allowed the fresh air take over. It was nice out here, almost peaceful.
It was only a matter of minutes before Preston's silence was broken and a blond girl was stumbling her way onto the balcony, the door sliding close behind her. Watching the girl for a moment, he cleared his throat lightly. Shrugging, his eyes watched her closely. She was beautiful and clearly out of place. Patting down his coat, he made sure it was empty, before shaking his head and pulling the cigarette from his lips. Blowing out the smoke, the man moved in front of the door in a nonthreatening way. "Its okay, you don't have to leave. I don't mind the company. Plus you look like you could use the fresh air." He said lightly, looking her over again. It was clear that this was not her type of place. She didn't look like the party girl nor the type who could hold her liquor. She didn't reek of alcohol as any of the others did, however it was still clear that she was already buzzed. "Take it, this isn't your kind of thing?" He asked before pulling out his pack of cigarettes, holding it out to offer her one. He didn't figure she would take it, however he thought he would be polite.
