| [atrb=border,0,true] Taylor was a different kind of girl, one that Luke definitely wasn't used to. Of course, he hadn't known her long and she hadn't known him long either but for some reason, he felt like being a goofball around that girl. She was fun to hang around with and it was just a lot of fun to tease her about being more loose and fun. He didn't know her well and he was hoping this trip would help their friendship out. He hadn't met too many people in Crystal Lake since he was mostly in Chicago working at the stadium for practices and other meetings, but maybe Taylor could be the one friend who really kept him grounded here? He wasn't sure, but there was always hope for different outcomes in his life. In Vancouver he had his friends but he had lost a huge number the moment he left high school because of how seriously he took his baseball and where it took him. It wasn't until recently that he found himself on the computer more trying to reconnect with some of his old friends.
Luke hopped out of his house in a quick hop step jump and found himself behind the wheel of his car. It was a simple car, nothing flashy, and it wasn't really cheap or old. He bought it used when he moved to Chicago and it had very little history to it. A simple Toyota Camry in black - nothing you'd expect from a baseball player. He ran a hand through his shaggy brown hair and pulled his sunglasses down from the visor and slipped them atop his nose and behind his ears. He buckled himself in and switched gears. Off he was, going to steal his friend away from her all too important studies for a quick adventure to the stadium in Chicago. Adventures were healthy, and even if she was studying and working hard as a student, he knew that she'd need a break sometimes. He knew Taylor worked hard and knew she needed a break. He considered it his job to provide her with that break and he intended to do so to the best of his abilities.
He smiled as he rolled down his window and felt the breeze. Summer was upon Crystal Lake and he couldn't be happier. It was just one of those days that would make it miserable to sit in a classroom for so long and have to manage to learn when you look out the window and the blue skies are beckoning for you to join them in frolicking in the rays and the green grass, healthily growing just for your toes to wisp through them like the wind. How poetic this time of year was. It made Luke want to forget baseball and sleep in the sunlight for forever. But he knew better and he knew how much he loved the game. He made a quick detour and grabbed a large coffee at a nearby coffee shop on the campus and then hopped back in the car, checking his watch as he went. He'd really be cutting it close this time, and he knew all too well that Taylor would probably bring it up. He grinned at the thought as he quickly turned toward the quad of the college and parked in a clear spot where he knew he'd be visible from every building. She couldn't miss him. As he pulled the gear into P, he tugged out his iphone from his jean pocket and quickly zapped a message off to his beautiful friend and turned on the radio.

| [atrb=border,0,true] Okay so agreeing to join a boy, who one could or could not possibly consider to be a friend, was a bit random for Taylor. She wasn't normally the kind of girl who did random things or hung out with friends. In fact she had made it a point in life to trust no one and not get close to them. She didn't want to be hurt again. She had been hurt by the people who she had always been told wouldn't hurt her, her family. She always felt that if they could hurt her, anyone could and she wasn't willing to put herself at that risk, to go through that again. Yes it sounded a little silly and not to many people understood it, however it was the way she was wired and she played the roll well. She was the stubborn, tough girl, with a feisty attitude. It normally scared many people off, however this boy, Luke, seemed to put up with it. It didn't matter how many punches the girl through at the poor boy, he was still taking them. It didn't matter how mean or sassy she was, he was there and normally with a grin on his face. She didn't understand people like him. The ones who stood next to someone no matter what, however she had never had that, so she had no real way of even trying to understand it.
When the boy asked her to join him in an adventure for the day, Taylor was sure it was going to be a no, it was the same answer she gave everyone. At first that's even how it started out, her turning him down, however it a matter of minutes her fingers were typing something different and before she knew it, she found herself taking his offer and planning her escape. She was in the middle of a class, one that was three hours long. It didn't matter though, it wasn't like she had been paying much attention to what was being said, however that's how it was with most of her classes. She often wondered what she was even doing in school, other than the fact that she wanted better for her life than her mother had or could offer her. She wanted to prove she could be more. However, even that seemed tough at times. Still, she found herself smiling when she was done taking the boys offer. She wasn't sure why, she had no reason to be smiling. She had hardly ever hung out with this boy, however the idea of his company didn't sound all that bad. He was funny and sweet. He felt like he was someone she could trust, even if she wouldn't allow it. However, the fact that the idea hung there, the ability to befriend him, seemed like a enough to make her go.
Finally making her way out of the class room, Taylor could feel her jean buzzing. Pulling her phone out she read the text from look, telling her where he was. "What happened to catching me as I jump out a window?" She muttered to herself as she headed down the hall. That almost sounded like the best part of the deal the two had arranged. Although she had been worried about hurting the boy, she almost wanted to watch every ones face as she jumped into the boys arms, him catching her and them making a run for the car as if skipping class was as illegal as breaking out of jail. It wasn't though, anyone could come and go as they wanted, however the idea had been fun to think about.
Slipping the phone back into her pocked Taylor made her way for the quad and started to look around for his car. It was easy enough to spot and before she knew it, she was opening the door and tossing her book bag in before getting in herself. "What, not in the mood to catch me as I fall any more?" She teased with a light smile. "I like the shades by the way, they make you look good" It was a compliment and an honest one. He did look good in the shades. In fact, Taylor had forgotten how handsome the baseball player could be. However, the girl knew better. If her mother hadn't taught her much before she was taken way, she had taught her that jocks and famous people were not to be fully trusted. They were the ones that had the many girls hanging all over them, meaning they were nothing more than heart breakers and the last thing Taylor needed in life, was another heartbreak. So buckling up, she pushed those few thoughts about how cute he was to the back of her mind, letting her more feisty side take over, not leaving any room for her flirty side to take over and cause a mess. "So, ready to hit the road. You know once we start there's no going back, your stuck with me for god knows how long." She teased.
