Another night of earning money over and she was a little closer to paying off her college tuition. Still, she couldn't help but feel a little disappointed with herself but Lottie was beginning to get used to that feeling. As soon as she had her degree though, it would all be worth it. Checking her phone, she sighed at the time. Nearly 2am. Her brain nagged at her, telling her to go home and study for an upcoming assessment. Her heart nagged at her, telling her to go out and get drunk. Neither won out however because there was only one thing she wanted to do.
Looking at her reflection in the mirror infront of her, Lottie pulled her big mass of curls up into a messy bun, took out a makeup wipe and started to get off all of her makeup. Glitter and caked on eyeshadow was a dead give away and she'd rather not walk around looking like a stripper. Reaching for her lipblam, she coated her lips and stuff it back into her bag along with her school books and her skanky outfit from the night. Ready to go, she started her car and stepped on the gas, heading in the direction of Dallas' house.
Arriving, she slammed the car door, not caring about any of his neighbours and stopped up the drive. Something about being around Dallas was always so soothing to Lottie. He'd known her forever, before she started making stupid mistakes and she was just a sweet little rich girl with the world at her feet. Knocking on the door, she hoped her way awake. Better yet, she hoped he was home. "It's just me baby" Lottie cooed out, still banging away and making a nuisance of herself. |

dallas hadn't been doing all too much that night, he'd spent the day with oliver yet unfortunately his boyfriend couldn't stay over as he had work in the morning and dallas wasn't exactly a morning person and oli always managed to accidentally wake him when he started getting ready at stupid o'clock in the morning. oli had left at about eleven and dallas had been on the couch ever since, there wasn't much else for him to do and he wasn't tired in the slightest. the boy had pretty much accepted the fact that this was going to be another all-nighter so had put in the first dvd of the first series of lost. it wasn't as though he had anything productive to do, his leg was playing up a bit, it wasn't like he had any school work or normal work to deal with because he wasn't physically capable enough and all he could think of was the operation that was looming closer and closer.
by now, dallas had gotten onto the fourth episode and it was halfway through. he'd already moaned about locke being an asshole and found himself growing angry with the fictional character, therefore it was safe to say when there was a knock at the door, dallas was quite thankful for the distraction. as he slowly lifted himself up to a seated position he began to wonder who on earth it might be, his eyes glanced to the clock and he noted down the time, two a.m? fuck, who was going to be calling at this hour? dallas wondered whether oliver had forgotten something and decided to come back and get it, yet dallas was pretty sure that the younger boy hadn't left anything behind apart from the few t-shirts and sweatshirts that seemed to always be here. in actual fact, dallas was wearing one of those sweatshirts now and it smelt of his boyfriend which made him feel so much more at ease.
it was as the banging grew louder and more repetitive that dallas soon got an idea as to who it was that was probably pissing off his neighbours. yet that didn't matter, what did was the fact that charlotte was here and that meant dallas was going to have a good night. the man slowly made his way toward the front door where he opened it and stood aside, shutting the door behind the girl after she'd stepped in. "alright, alright, you're gonna break my door in a minute." the boy grinned before wrapping his arms around the slim girl and embracing her in a warm, friendly hug. "mm, i've missed you. how've you been?" he asked, making his way into the kitchen, eventually deciding to hop his way there to save himself the trouble of limping. "i'm feeling i should get the wine out, what one takes your fancy?" dallas opened up his fringe and gestured a hand toward the several bottles of red, white, and rosé that had grown into a bit of a collection. "i'm glad you're here, actually. having one of those nights where i can't sleep and oli left me all on my own because he has stupid work. sucks."

Her arms wrapped tightly around his body as he hugged her and she planted the sloppiest kiss possible on Dallas' cheeck. "Hey lover dover" she greeted him happily, throwing her handbag down by the door. Dallas could always put her in a good mood. It was rare for Lottie to feel the urge to relax, usually the only urges she got where to go and get drunk. With Dallas though she still felt like a Freshman in highschool or something. He could keep her entertained with just a movie and his sparkling personality. It was one of the many reasons why he was literally one of her favourite people in the world and why no matter how much time they spent apart, they always ended up back together. Doing the same old thing too may I add.
"Missed you more" the blonde replied cheekily, flopping her body down onto the sofa and letting herself sink right in. It felt good to finally be out of heels and relaxing. "I've been good. Keeping busy with the usual, y'know?" she sighed out, stretching her arms above her head and creaking out her neck. "How about you? Other than missing me hopelessly?" Lottie asked, watching as he hopped his way to the kitchen. It was kind of a funny sight to see and even as she thought it she felt terrible. Usually she would have raced over, told him to sit his ass down and let her do it but she was feeling way too lazy and didn't feel like making one of her bestfriends feel like a cripple. It was always something she thought about. Dallas' injury and his time away from Crystal Lakes. She had a fair idea oof what had happened but never really went too in depth for fear it would stir some horrible memory or just make the entire time uncomfortable between them.
Ears perked up at the mention of wine. People needed to be fully stocked when Charlotte Prescott made an appearance. She didn't have a drinking problem but she did like to drink. Ever since she'd moved away from college and had that little bit of freedom away from her parents she'd deiscovered a fondness for anything that could get her into a little trouble. Boys, booze, sex, substance abuse. "Mmm wine sounds fabulous. Go for the white. We do red and I'm passing out in your bathtub" Lottie chose quickly, her eyes flicking towards the tv. "Lost, really Dallas?" she scoffed with a giggle and rolled her blue eyes, "I swear those morons have been trapped on that island for a million years now. Build a boat dickheads!" Lottie shook her head, flicking her wrist towards the television as she gave the actors her own opinion on their tiresome situations. She hadn't even noticed that Oli wasn't there, she was usually so used to seeing the pair attatched at the hip. As much as she liked Dallas' boyfriend she was kind of glad she got him all to herself tonight. It was rare. "Don't worry I'll be your boyfriend tonight. Bad news though, no sex. I happen to have a vagina and I know how much you hate those" she teased, poking her tongue out at him. |

dallas rolled his eyes at the kiss on the cheek, pretending to scowl as if the girl had contagious germs. "ew, get your cooties away from me, you might end up turning me straight." he whined, though a smirk soon crept onto his cheeks as the girl made herself at home. it made dallas feel happy to know that charlotte felt comfortable here, like she could come here whenever she was down, bored, or just needed a good ol' gossip from the king of gossipers.
dallas made his way into the kitchen, teeth sinking down into his bottom lip to avoid showing any signs of pain. "oh, well of course i was mainly missing you," he continued on the conversation and the light-hearted tone in his voice made it easy to sense that he was grinning behind his words. "but i had some hospital things to arrange." the boy picked up the bottle of white wine and fetched two glasses from the cabinet, making sure that they were the largest ones he had. "found out the date of my operation, two weeks today. i think oli's been worrying about it more than i am and i'm the one who actually has to be cut up and all that shit." the boy chuckled as he poured out the two glasses, leaving the bottle half empty and sitting on the side. ever so carefully he managed to limp into the sitting room where lottie sat and handed her over a glass before collapsing down beside her, outstretching his scarred leg to make himself more comfortable. "but there is absolutely nothing wrong with lost! sawyer's so sexy, and boone. and i suppose if charlie had a wash he'd be decent." the male said with a nod as he cast his eyes over to the television screen and took a satisfying gulp of the alcohol. "it's only the first season anyway, technically they've not been there for that long yet." dallas looked over to the girl with a teasing smirk as he playfully nudged their shoulders together.
it was different to have a night in with just him and charlotte, although he was falling so hard for oli (if that wasn't obvious already) he had to admit that he missed the sleepovers that he and lottie had which weren't so frequent anymore. of course, life was much different now in their future in comparison to their high school days, but even so that wasn't to say they couldn't relive some of those teenage memories. "oh god, i can't believe you said the 'v' word in my house!" dallas feigned a look of horror, mouth open and brows furrowed, pretending to be in disgust with the girl. "we must never speak of that black hole of doom that you females possess." dallas sunk himself into the cushions of his couch, turning his body ever so slightly so he could lie against the arm chair and was facing lottie. "to be fair though, the whole no sex thing isn't all that bad seeing as me and oli still haven't got there yet." dallas finally managed to admit what had been bothering him for quite a while now. "seriously, i just can never find the right time to like... initiate it? if you get what i mean. like, i want our first time to mean something, be special, i guess." the boy shrugged before gulping down a mouthful of wine, "how do i even go about bringing the subject up without it being weird? seriously, you can tell it's been years since i've had sex because i feel like a virginal teenager all over again."

Everything about them was eery and gloomy. Even the ridiculously bright lights made you feel like you were walking to your death and along with the horrible smell of disifectant and those ugly blue hospital scrubs, Lottie avoided the place as much as possible. The news that Dallas was finally getting his leg operated on was good however. She knew how much pain he was in, even if he never let on. Lottie knew him well, better than she knew most people and she that most of the time he was just putting on a brave front. Hopefully the pain of his surgeory would be worth it and his life could be a little more normal again. Regardless of her hatred for hospitals, Lottie would be there, right by his side, probably fighting Oliver for prime position. "I'm coming dressed as a cute nurse or something" |
she winked in his direction. "Aww you're lucky you have a good boyfriend. He just cares, besides you don't want just me by your bed do you? You'll probably fall out of bed trying to get away from me" Lottie joked, trying to make light of the situation. "They are NOT hot" Charlotte exclaimed and threw her hands up in the air, shaking her head. "Seriously, what happened to your taste? They look like dirty old men to me. And if they're trapped on an island, you'd think they'd be a little buffer." she took a huge sip of her wine. Somehow she always ended up rating guys like she was a teenager again. That was part of the joy of having a gay friend, right? "This is good by the way" she nodded at the bottle of wine, sipping on it again. Slow drinker? Definitely not Lottie. If it was there, it needed to be finished in record time. "Oh no," Lottie gasped in mock horror, covering her mouth with her hand and widening her eyes before letting out a giggle. "You keep being a smart ass and I'm covering your room with straight porn mister" she threatened, pointing an accusing finger at him. God she'd missed goofing around with Dallas. While she'd been away at college, she'd always missed him but it wasn't until they'd actually started hanging around each other gaain that she really realised how shit life was without him. Problems always seemed miniscule when he was around. No matter how deep or cconcerning they were, they could always make a joke out of it. "You guys still haven't had sex?" she snapped back to reality, raising an eyebrow. Other peoples sex lives were always more interesting to talk about then your own. Charlotte understsood peoples need to wait. Despite her job and her flirty attitude, Lottie wasn't that quick to hop in bed with guys. She was far from a prude and she had plenty of sex but she liked to think of herself as a little classy. "Special? My god you sound like a fifteen year old girl" she laughed before shutting her mouth pretty quickly. She didn't want to make fun of him. "You guys have't talked about it at all? Maybe you should just bite the bullet and tell him? Chances are he's just a eager as you" she shrugged. To be honest she didn't know Oliver all too well so she felt a little bad making assumtpions but at the same time she felt it was her duty to give her friend some advice. "Wait, shouldn't you wait till your leg is better anyway? You know, no rough, physical activity and all?" she asked and tried her best to give him a stern, mature look. Failing miserably ofcourse.[/div]

it always warmed dallas' heart to talk about oliver to anyone, it still amazed him that he could call the british boy his own because it was all too surreal and much like a dream. he nodded his head with a smile, "yeah, i really am lucky." he agreed, running a hand through his hair as he leant back on the couch and took another sip of wine. "i can't see you by my bed all day as a bad thing! i'd probably end up getting in trouble with the nurses and doctors though 'cause no doubt you'd make me do something stupid or say something inappropriate." the boy playfully grinned as he set his glass down on the coffee table in front of the sofa, being careful to not knock it over with his foot that was propped up beside it. "n'aw, i wouldn't ever wanna get away from you. i'd probably end up clinging to you when they tell you that you've gotta go." the boy shrugged his shoulders with a smirk.
he rolled his eyes as charlotte tried to argue with him about his taste in men. "pfft," he folded his arms across his lap whilst shaking his head, "i have always had fantastic taste in men, even now!" he retaliated, "except from that weird kid in eleventh grade but we both know i was going through a rough patch and was getting desperate, never again!" dallas had to laugh as he remembered that mysterious, quite creepy, guy that he ended up getting "handsy" with in the guy's bathroom in high school. "he was pretty big though, might have been a good fuck. although it's probably a good idea we got caught otherwise my ass might have been destroyed by a psycho." dallas wrinkled his nose in disgust as he laughed, hand clasped to his stomach, "i swear, you ever tell oli about him and i'll tell your future guy about some of the embarrassing things you did at school." he warned, yet his tone was light and he couldn't wipe the childish grin away. he really did become a teenager again when he was with lottie, dallas certainly missed those days sometimes. "come on, you can't say boone isn't hot. he's got a proper nice jaw!" as he spoke the character appeared on the screen and dallas pointed, "come on, you know he'd look great between your legs." the boy winked cheekily before quickly holding up a pillow in defence in case lottie went to give him a playful smack. "and you can't say oli isn't attractive, he's got to be the hottest guy i've ever been with, like, ever." so he might have been biased but it was true.
as lottie mentioned straight porn, dallas' eyes widened and he shook his head, "don't you dare! it's just so wrong!" he whined, although soon fell about giggling. "although, i did watch this one video the other day and it was fucking hilarious. no joke, it was that tulisa girl from that shit british band, whoever they were, and pretty much the whole video was her getting slapped in the face with this guy's dick. fair play to the guy from videoing it." dallas shrugged his shoulders with a chuckle before leaning over to pick up the glass of wine and gulping down the last of it. "you guys still haven't had sex?" dallas sighed and shook his head, "nope, if we had i wouldn't have said, "me and oli still haven't got there yet'." he teased in his usual smart ass way. "but hey! don't laugh! and not all fifteen year old girls are out losing their virginity, unlike some." he looked over to the girl with a teasing pout, "i just want it to mean something," dallas shrugged, "we've sort of talked about it, but i can't just go, "so i'm ready for you to fuck me now". that won't go down too well and he'd probably run away!" the male giggled as he clutched a pillow against his chest, cuddling it in a way, "i probably should wait, but that might take years for it to properly heal, love. i've already gone like four years without sex and i've finally got the opportunity, i'm not wasting this chance!" dallas gave an affirmative nod, "plus, i've figured out if i bottom, which is what i prefer anyway, then he's the one who's got to do all the work and i can just take it." it seemed like a foolproof plan in dallas' head, though he knew he wouldn't be able to sleep with oli without a little pain but he suffered that anyway, he doubted it'd be much different. "the pleasure'll totally counteract the pain anyway." the boy slowly traced his index finger along the rim of his glass, "maybe i should just like ask him to meet me at our field, where we first met, and then just tell him how i feel about him. like, it's pretty obvious that i'm in love with him, maybe i should tell him and then make a move so it can be all special and passionate?"

That way I can check out all the sexy doctors" Lottie nodded enthusicasticaly, her eyes lighting up like a christmas tree. Doctors may have been hot but her real concern was Dallas and making sure he was being looked after as best as possible. None of that crappy hospital food or boring daytime television. Who needed Days of Our Lives when you had your own walking, talking blonde entertainment unit? Her attention shifted as one of Dallas' little ex lovers entered the conversation. Charlotte didn't even need to strain her memory for the guy, his face instantly popped up in her head and she let out a loud laugh. "Fuck! What were you thinking? That guy used to creep the hell out of me. I seriously used to make sure I sat on the opposite side of the room for him. And eww, thanks for the prison image buddy" she scrunched her nose up, still laughing.
"I'm not going to tell him"Lottie pretended to be offended. Dallas' secrets stayed with her forever and vice versa. "What I did? I was a little angel thank you very much and I'll be sticking to that story no matter what little lies you make up" she shook her head with a devilish smirk. The things that Dallas knew about her would probably cause her parents to have a heart attack. She was used to playing the good girl card though. When you looked like and innocent little thing, you pulled it off with ease. No matter how many times you got caught in the science lab with the Quaterback. "Hey, hey, hey! That boy isn't getting anywhere near my legs" Lottie shook her head again. "I'll give you that one. Oli's pretty hot. I think it's the accent. God, who can say no to a British accent?" Lottie groaned with pleasure and whipped her head back dramatically. "Seriously, they say heeyyy love" she did her best British accent, pulling it off terribly, "and I'm like 'take me now. up against that wall'". She was pretty sure you wouldn't find one person who would turn down a British lover. "Maybe I can turn Oli straight? What do you think?" she asked, raising and eyebrow and letting her teeth slip into a sly grin.
Sipping more of her wine, Lottie let out another laugh, sending some of her mouthful back into her glass. "So straight porn repulses you, but watching some bitch get turkey slapped is totally acceptable?" she laughed, covering her face as her fit of giggles sent her face red. "You've got issues kid" the blonde diagnosed him through laughs, trying her hardest not to snort like a pig. Her head whipped back to face him and she sent him a nasty scowl. "Fuck you! I was nearly sixteen okay! And you don't say no to sexy college guys" she made a quick grab for the pillow, snatching it away from him then throwing it at him at half speed. "I love you cripple boy" she sank back into her spot, blowing him a kiss and following it with a wink. "But 'i'm ready for you to fuck me now' is just so romantic Dally" lottie teased, "It's always won me over". Suddenly she jolted up from her comfortable position, brining her skinny legs in underneath her, back straight, staring directly at him in shock. "Four years? Four years!" she practically screamed in repeition. Now she was tring to stay away from sexual encounters as much as possible these days, even though it was proving to be harder than usual but four years was practically a life time at their age. "How can you not have sex for four years? You should have joined the navy instead then you wouldn't have this problem. But four years, Dallas? You know what this means though, right?" Lottie babbled before finally reaching a conclusion and using silence to build suspense, "You're a born again virgin". She started at him dead seriously for as long as she could. It was about four seconds that she lasted before the laughs started again and finally, she evel et out a snort which only made her laugh even more.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't laugh at your pain" she tried to calm herself down, clutching onto her sides. "I am here for useful advice. That's a cute idea though. Aww you're in love. My little Dally's in love" Lottie smiled genuinely, feeling even a little fluttery herself. "Don't fuck in a field though. Or bring a blanket because grass stains are really, really hard to get out" she nodded. |

"i was a little angel thank you very much-" dallas couldn't help himself, he just had to laugh. oh, he knew many a thing about charlotte in her high school days and he could safely say that many of them were not angelic. "i would never lie!" dallas mimicked the girl by also pretending to take offence, "but yeah, don't go play the innocent girl, missy, i still remember the things that the both of us got up to back in the day." he winked at lottie playfully, giving her a playful nudge in the shoulder with his own. "but 'pretty hot'?" dallas asked with a raised brow and furrowed brows, "even if he didn't have the accent he'd still be damn sexy!" yep, dallas was most certainly biased but he really couldn't see himself being attracted to anybody more than he was attracted to oliver. "the accent totally helps though, seriously, even when he says 'masturbating' he still sounds so hot. and i definitely have not asked him to say masturbating a few times..." dallas bit down on his lip as he tried to hold back a laugh yet it seemed to be near impossible to do so. "seriously i could listen to him talk all day and never get bored, especially when he calls me love, my heart melts every time." the boy swooned, leaning back into the couch and resting his head back as he sighed. "pfft, oliver's half straight anyway, or as i like to call it, greedy." dallas laughed cheekily, "i swear though, you dare get your fabulous tits out in front of him and i will not be responsible for my actions against you." the boy looked over to the pretty girl beside him with a grin.
dallas truly felt at ease with lottie, the mood was always so light-hearted and fun and he couldn't quite believe that it was nearing three in the morning. dallas didn't even feel tired anymore and he was positive that it was just lottie's presence rather than the glass of wine that now settled in his stomach. "i have so not got issues! and anyway, i wasn't watching it to jerk off, just for entertainment purposes." dallas shot back with a giggle, before laughing even harder as the girl sent a glare his way. "nearly sixteen is still fifteen, you shlaaaaaag!" dallas teased in his usual boyish manner. "mm, i love you too, whore bag." and he mimed catching the kiss and pocketing it before blowing one back to her. "but yes, four years." he repeated after placing a hand over his mouth for extra emphasis on the shock. "look, i never had the chance to fuck in the army! one, the conditions were gross and sex in a tent is not the most pleasant of places. two, pretty sure all of them were straight anyway. three, and this is the most important one, they'd have probably killed me if they knew i took it up the ass!" although at the time when he had been deployed to afghanistan, to have to pretend to be a straight man was incredibly hard and it took its toll on the male majorly. he hated having to lie about who he was, having to make up ex-girlfriends on the spot, it wasn't pleasant in the slightest. yet from being home and being able to just be dallas, it was easy to laugh about his previous experiences. "the navy is too homosexual even for me." dallas shook his head with a giggle before pausing to wait in suspense, curious to how lottie would be finishing her question. "oh?" he asked mid-way, wanting her to hurry up with an answer. but then she said it and dallas didn't even know how to react. but of course it ended with the usual fit of laughter and he ended up collapsing against the girl's side, head on her shoulder as he tried to calm himself. the boy took a few deeps breaths before sighing, "oh, just call me the virgin mary." he rolled his eyes before wrapping an arm around lottie's waist and giving her a cuddle from the side, "but i know, only really realised a few days ago that i actually did feel so strongly for him. like, love is really the only word i can describe it. just don't know whether he feels the same about me." the boy's voice was fairly quiet as he sighed once more, "can tell we're getting older though, never thought i was ever gonna settle down with a decent guy, especially not after the accident." and that was certainly true, although it hadn't been the first thought in his head once the bullet struck, whilst in hospital he certainly wondered whether anybody could love him like how he was. it was truly a miracle for him to find someone so caring as oliver cartwright. "but anyway, we won't "fuck in a field"," he glanced up at the girl, "we'll be making love in a field." dallas swooned, clasping a hand to his heart and batting his eyelids. "but of course you'd know everything about grass stains, wouldn't you? naughty, naughty." dallas tutted, yet of course he was merely kidding as he clung to the girl a little tighter as if to let her know. "what were you doing tonight before you came here though, anyway?"

First off, she didn't exactly have her own life so it was nice to live through her friends. Second, it had been a long time since she'd seen him so happy and that alone warmed her heart and made her appreaciate Oliver. Anyone that could put a smile on her boys face was an angel in her eyes. Just listening to him made her smile warmly. "Oh please, you know me better than that. No home wrecking here thanks" Lottie raised her hands up in surrender with a grin. "You'd never hurt me anyway. Life would be pointless without me remember" she teased. For as long as she could remember Dallas had been her number one. If the boy was straight she would have married him along time ago because she honestly couldn't think of anyone else who made fer feel more at home and more loved no matter what nasty taunts they threw at each other.
The blonde had always been curious about the army. She knew it came with heavy downsides, Dallas was living proof of that. Still, who didn't love a man in uniform and the whole fighting for you country thing was uber hot. "They would not have killed you! I would have hunted them down and ripped them shreds" Lottie winked, though she was pretty serious. "Seriously though, army boys are to die for. Why the hell didn't you find me a husband while you were there?" she asked, narrowing her eyes. Not that she actually wanted a husband anytime soon. "You should have just said I was your girlfriend" Lottie exclaimed as if finally coming up with a great idea no matter how late, "I could have sent you love letters and racey photos" she giggled. She'd made a point of writing Dallas heaps of letters while they were both away. It was totally old school but she'd had fun keeping in contact with him and it just seemed so fitting. "The navy does hve cutuer costumes though" she thought aloud referring to their uniforms, "Oooh I should get a slutty version". She could just picture it now, Friday nights at the club in a navy outfit. Tips would be crazy.
The air was filled with an erruption of giggles once more as she wiggled next to him. "You've got it Mary" she laughed, cuddling into his side. "Speak for yourself, I haven't gotten any older" she shook her head. It was true, she really didn't feel like she had. If anything all the mistakes she'd made over the past year only proved to her how immature and reckless she'd become. She'd had her whole life planned out, every littel detail was a road map to perfection. Ofcourse the minute she'd finally been allowed that tiny bit of freedom, she fucked it all up. Getting kicked out of school, returning home, getting cut off from her parents, stripping, sleeping with a professor. The list went on and on and just thinking about it made her heart sink a little. That didn't mean she begrudged Dallas for having things in order though. Yes she was a little jealous but she couldn't have wished it on anyone else. "But I'm really happy for you Dall. Really, I am. You deserve the best" she told him seriously, shifting her body up a little and kissing his head.
"Call it what you want baby" she giggled once again, making sure she was still tucked away into his side. "And I'll have you know, I actually went camping once with that Declan guy I dated" she snacked his shoulder lightly. The mood instantly felt heavier when he asked her where she'd been. An innocent question which he obviously expected an innocent answer to, yet Lottie instantly felt like her happy little bubble had been burst. SHe didn't like lying to her friends but it wasn't worth the questions and judgemtn. A few bad decisions and her life was totally different to how it had been in highschool. The little princess had definitely fallen. "Just studying. You know how much work I get at college" she answered, trying her best to sound casual and she back up in a straight position. There was non eed to tell him. As soon as she graduated she'd be back to her normal life. A degree and her parents would give her back her trust fund and she could forget about the last two years. Looking for a subject change she stuck to the thing she knew Dallas clearly loved talking abotu the most. "Who the fuck meets in a field anyway? What were you doing? Looking for u.f.o's?" she laughed. |

it was adorable that lottie wanted to look out for dallas, especially when he was out there in the army. pictured in his head was the image of the slim girl beating down any tough soldier who made a homophobic remark to him and a smile spread across his face. sure, it was a naive statement as they both knew deep down that nothing like that could have happened and they both knew that dallas being open about his sexuality during his time over seas would have given him a lot of grief. "aw, you're my own little body guard, aren't you?" he said with a smirk, before nodding in agreement. "too right! i swear, there were so many of my fellow soldiers who i just really wanted to like... just let them have their way with me!" dallas giggled, "i guess i was thinking too much about trying to avoid getting "excited" in my pants to think about finding you your own army boy." the boy teased as he looped a finger in one of his curls and idly played with the strands of his hair. "anyway, you have me. if everything goes to shit with me and oli, touch wood it doesn't," the male leaned over to playfully tap the top of lottie's head, "then you can have me as your army husband and we'll have a to die for wedding." the boy gave an affirmative nod with a grin. "i totally should have said you were my girlfriend though, seriously, why couldn't you have told me this before i got deployed?!" it would have made sense actually, there were so many stories of dallas and lottie that he could have shared and it would have totally been believable. yet, at the time when he was away he had so many other things to think about that it didn't cross his mind. "mm, see i'm not too big a fan of their uniform. everything about them just screams, "i am a flaming homosexual"," dallas shrugged truthfully, "hey, i liked my camouflage uniform anyway, i thought that was pretty sexy. you'd have looked good in it!"
it was refreshing to hear someone say that they were happy for him though, it also reminded dallas that he really was happier than he'd ever been before. he loved being in love, he realised. though he didn't feel as if he deserved this happiness, he still saw himself as a failure to his country for not being able to serve for the time he was planned to, he wasn't going to complain at all for he knew he had to hold onto oliver with both hands and not let go. anyway, after the accident and the troubles that have come with it, it was nice to have someone there who dallas could gain affection from, who could cuddle him and kiss him and make him feel like he was the only one that mattered in that moment. "you'll find your prince charming soon though, sweetheart." the boy said with a warm smile, "i'll make sure of it."
as dallas cuddled closer to lottie he rolled his eyes, "that declan guy was a tool." the boy chuckled, "i bet that was a brilliant night though, cold in a tent and fucking to keep warm." in all honesty it didn't sound too bad, "we should go camping soon, just the two of us. we can make a bonfire and toast marshmallows and tell each other ghost stories before snuggling in a sleeping bag together under the stars. that sounds like a good plan." dallas knew that it would be nice for the two to properly hang out together like they used to, to share nights in a way in which they would have done as teenagers. if anything dallas saw it as making up for the years that he was gone and couldn't have a laugh with the one girl he adored more than anybody else. "studying?" dallas asked with a raised brow. he wasn't stupid, he could tell by the small hesitation from charlotte's answer that she wasn't telling him the truth but he didn't want to confront her about it as it was clearly something she didn't want to talk about. yet, dallas made a mental note to ask her about it at another time because who the hell studies until two in the morning and then goes knocking at a friend's house? well... okay, maybe a lot of college students but still, it just didn't seem to add up. "guess that's why i'm glad that i don't have college or anything 'cause i don't have any work to do at all, it gets boring just knowing i have literally nothing to do though. it's so different compared to when i was overseas and i had shit to do every single day, after my operation if i get a bit better then i'll have to find a job somewhere so i have stuff to do rather than be a lazy ass all the time." that was another difficulty about dallas' injury, as his mobility was limited it also meant that jobs available for him were limited. the only one he could possibly do would be to work in an office or a call centre but he knew that he just wouldn't be able to do it. plus, he didn't even think he was ready to face the big world out there just yet, he still needed to recover.
dallas noticed the way in which charlotte changed the topic of conversation but for the sake of keeping the atmosphere lighthearted he played along with it as though he hadn't suspected a thing. "i just went for a walk! well, i went for a hobble." dallas laughed, "and i used to go to the fields a lot as a kid just to get some space so i thought i'd go there, ended up laying down in the middle of one of the fields and was like falling asleep pretty much. next thing i knew this beautiful boy was standing over me and that was that. we got talking, he told me that his dad owned the field as part of his farm and that i was kind of trespassing and would have been shot if his dad found me." dallas shook he head with a laugh, "and this is why i'm scared about meeting his parents! but yeah, that's how it all happened, how we met and all. i don't believe in love at first sight or anything but it was the closest thing to that."
notes: i'm so sorry that this took so long! i'm going through exams this week and next so i've been revising like crazy! i'll be getting back into the swing of things soon though c:

When it came to the people she loved though, she turned into a little attack dog and believed she could take anyone down. Especially when it concerned Dallas. Anyone that said a word against him had better be ready to cop an earful from Lottie. "Damn straight. Look at these muscles" Lottie grinned, flexing her arm up and pointing at the skinny, tanned limb. She'd never actually been a physical fight but she'd take on any army guys that thought they could push around her boy. "Typical male. Putting your own selfish needs before mine" she shook her head and laughed, "I ask for one thing. A husband. And you can't even produce that" she poked her tongue out at him childishly.
"I was going to suggest that! We'd be the perfect couple" she clapped her hands in excitement as she suggested exactly what was on her mind. It was okay to kid but deep down she wished nothing but the best for Oliver and Dallas. She couldn't bare to see her best friends heart broken. "If we're both single and not married by the time we're thirty, I'm becoming Mrs Charlotte Morgan and we'll pull a Brangelina and adopt a whole bunch of rainbow kids" she indulged in her plan, sticking her pinky finger out to him. "Pinky promise, right now" the blonde ordered him. "Actually make it 29. Getting married at thirty seems too old" she added. Thirty and in a wedding dress? It seemed totally acceptable in this day and age but Lottie thought it was a little tacky and a little old. "I still wanna look hot and everything, y'know?" she grinned, finishing off her glass of wine and placing her empty glass on the table. It was so easy to get wrapped up in a little imaginary world with Dallas and it was one of the many things she appreciated about him.
Lottie sent him an disapproving look. "Really? Camouflage? she questioned him. If there was one thing she loved it was costumes. As a little girl she'd had a wardrobe full of them ranging from Disney Princesses to Pink Power Rangers. Any excuse to dress up she took. She was one of those girls that loved getting dressed every morning and any chance she got to go all out was perfect in her eyes. Now at twenty-two she never got to dress up and be a little kid again. Still, any chance she got to raid Dallas' clothes, she took. "I don't wanna blend in! I wanna stand out. One day I'm trying it on though, and cutting it into short shorts" she winked, taking the challenge on. "Or is that a federal offense or something?" she giggled. It still amazed her that Dallas was in the army. She as proud of him for defending their country and it was the most respectable thing she could think of someone doing. He was braver than anyone else she knew but at the same time, she was so glad he was home and out of danger. What was the use in doing a good deed, if he didn't come home?
" No, no need. I was just kidding about the husband thing" she shook her head with a sigh. "I'm guy free for the time being and it's staying that way for awhile" Lottie smiled softly, reaching for the wine bottle once more. She'd always been the girl to have a string of boyfriends. It was like some horrible addiction but over the years she'd learnt to be abit pickier. Besides working at a strip club kind of stopped you from dating the nice guys you should have been. Add in the trouble Kyle was causing her and she was a little turned off the opposite sex. It wasn't bad though, she was learning to just be her and enjoy being single. Filling her glass up again, she leant across to him and topped up his drink too. She was planning on getting them very drunk. Pass out on the couch and go out for breakfast when they woke up. Perfect plan. "Oh but he was so beautiful" she gushed wishfully, thinking back to one her many boyfriends, "Except for the whole 'extreme living eco-freak' thing" she laughed. Definitely not the type of guy she needed. "Oh my god yes! Let's go on a camping trip. It'll be so romantic" she nearly hopped out of her seat with excitement. She missed doing things with Dallas. He was always the person she tried new things with. They could always drag each other out on their weird adventures. It had been so long since they did something a little out of the ordinary though and just the thought had her giddy with excitement. "We're totally fucked if a crazy killer comes after us though. I'm weak as anything and you're disabled now" she widened her eyes with mock horror before letting out a small laugh and leaning across to ruffle his hair.
"Yes studying. I do do that sometimes you know" she rolled her blue eyes at him. She'd never been a totally dedicated student, usually putting her social life before her studies but now that she was in college and having to pay for it herself she actually appreciated the opportunity and was putting in an effort. Studying was a good cover when it came to most people but Dallas knew her better. "You'll find a job, it's not like you're useless or anything" she encouraged him, feeling terrible for him. Having served his country it upset Lottie that he felt like he was left without anything now. "You're not lazy, you're just resting. God knows you need it. When you're all better we'll find you the most perfect job" she told him, sipping on her drink as she thought of a good job for him. She was way too tipsy to come up with any thing good though. "And if worse comes to worse you can just be a gigolo" she laughed, "We'll get you some silk shirts and gold chains and you'll be good to go".
It was always so cute to hear how couples met. She was always amazed at some of the odd places people first met and what attracted them to each other in the beginning. One day she'd have some amazing story of her own other than 'oh I met him at a bar'. Dallas and Oli were as cute as ever and jut hearing about them made her smile even more. Seeing one of your closest friends light up like that was just as good as having it yourself. "His parents will love you, don't be such a pansy" Lottie shook her finger at him. How could anyone not love Dallas? Even her parents, who were the must judgmental people on earth loved the guy. Lottie was a huge believer in love at first sight. It was probably all the faiyr tales she was obsessed with as a young child but it was a nice thought or hope to have. "It's all so adorable though. We're all going to have to go for dinner or something. It can be the equivalent of him having dinner with your parents" she suggested. Oliver was fine in her eyes but she felt the need to play the protective friend, even if it was just a little. "But when Obama gets off his ass and legalizes it, I better be your maid of honor. Just saying" she nudged him lightly with her foot.
OOC: no need to apologise love! i'd much rather you aced your exams (; good luck and sorry this post is so shit. i love them so much though lol |

dallas rolled his eyes, "pfft, you say you'll stay guy free but knowing you you'll have someone on your arm in the next few weeks." dallas playfully teased, "at least we can double date now though! although no doubt i'd end up ditching oliver, you'd ditch your guy, and it'd just be me and you causing mayhem as usual." that sounded about right, in the past when the two had "double dated" it often ended with dallas and lottie just forgetting about their dates and pissing about with one another. "alright, declan was attractive, i'll give you that." dallas agreed, he often thought many of charlotte's flings and boyfriends were insanely attractive but then he expected nothing less for charlotte was an absolutely stunning girl. he knew that if he were straight he'd want her in a heartbeat, although of course it wouldn't just be for her looks. "everyone seems to have their one major downfall though, his was the eco-freak, mine's the whole injury thing because we both know before that i was just perfect," dallas spoke sarcastically, following with an adorable little giggle. "and yours is... well..." he thought for a moment, brows furrowing, he honestly couldn't think of a huge flaw that charlotte had. "it's got to be something." dallas laughed. "a camping trip does sound fun though! gives us a chance to get away, have some lottie and dallas time and let our hair down a bit. i miss having you around a lot, i appreciate seeing you, even if you do come knocking at stupid o'clock in the morning when i'm quite happily watching lost." dallas gave a cheeky smile before sinking against charlotte's body. "hm... i can still pack a pretty good punch, and my other leg is pretty good at kicking the shit out of something. you'd have to use those muscles you got out earlier though to pin the crazy killer down for me." dallas said as though their plan was completely flawless, yet he really just hoped a crazy killer wouldn't appear out of the blue.
dallas still didn't believe that lottie had been studying, he decided to just keep his words to himself and roll his eyes along with her and laugh. that seemed to work a treat. "i pretty much am useless, mobility wise anyway. i'm not entirely thick at least, although both of us know i wasn't that fantastic in school." it wasn't as though dallas didn't want to learn, he simply found himself distracted a lot of the time. there was always something else important out there, and as he'd figured early on in high school that he wanted to go to the army, he didn't put in as much effort as he could have done. of course he never thought he'd need any decent grades because the army would accept him and that would have been that, he'd have stayed a soldier until retirement where he could live comfortably. he never planned on returning this early and never planned on having to need qualifications for a different job. "i feel like i've been resting for too long though! and even then, after this operation i'll have to rest for another month or so. but at least after that my leg shouldn't be as bad as it is now which'd make things easier for me, guess i just gotta be patient." it was hard to be patient though when all dallas wanted was to get up and go, he wanted to do something with his time, something that was beneficial and so he wasn't just sitting on his backside all day long just waiting for somebody to come and see him. he had to keep telling himself that it'd all be worth it in the end. "a gigolo? me?" the boy questioned with a raised brow, "i'm not sexy enough to be a gigolo! anyway, if i haven't even had sex with my own boyfriend i doubt i could fuck strangers. those days are long gone." ah yes, those days which fell into what dallas called the 'rebellious year' where he spent most weekends getting drunk at house parties of strangers and sleeping with any boy who made him an offer. oops. "but alright, i'll keep it in the back of my mind as a last resort." he grinned.
dallas noticed how lottie's smile grew as he spoke about oliver and he felt his own cheeks start to ache from smiling so much. it was difficult not to when it was clear to see how happy oli made him, even better that lottie was happy for him and he'd received the best friend's approval over his new man. "yeah, but the thing is, right, they don't know he's gay? well, bisexual." dallas raised a hand to his head and brushed his hair from his eyes. "so that's why i'm not exactly looking forward to the day where he's like, 'yeah, mom, dad, this is dallas, my boyfriend.' 'cause it's not like i can make a quick getaway if his dad tries to attack me for being queer!" dallas hoped that wouldn't happen, yet he knew from the way oliver spoke about his parents that they still seemed to follow the old fashion rules of homosexuals not being the 'norm' and not being accepted in society. "i dunno, we'll soon see how it plans out i guess." dallas shrugged, "but alright, we'll make dinner plans just for you." he giggled, bringing himself up into a seated position before steadily making his way to his feet. "psh, alright fine. let's make a deal, if me and oli ever get married then you'll of course be maid of honour." he held out his little figer and looped it around charlotte's own, "pinky swear." he said with a grin, before using his pinky to pull the girl up to her feet. "come on, let's get into bed, i'm knackered."
