Happy to get out of the house. Happy to spend time with Adam. Happy to be going to see the Avengers. Happy that they were having something akin to a date night. She wasn’t quite sure what the real reason behind it was, all she cared about was that she was genuinely happy for what felt like the first time in months and she was literally buzzing.. and she really liked it. Being a giddy little thing, she had sang away in the shower, sang away while dancing around as she did her hair and make up, and did about four wardrobe changes before feeling complete. The first was too dressed down, then too dressed up, then too warm – until, at last, she had found something she felt was the perfect blend of everything. And, boy did she leave a trail of chaos and destruction in her wake. So, she might have never been the tidiest thing but, hey, it wasn’t like they got to go out often together these days! Between his two jobs and her own work schedule they rarely got time to actually go out so she kind of felt some strange pressure to look good for him.. but only to an extent. He completely spoiled her with his love and maybe, just maybe, she’d gotten a little bit lazy when it came to what she wore around him since she knew that he’d think she was beautiful no matter what she looked like. She knew she was keeping him waiting and she felt terrible for that but she was always like this when it came to their outings.. or any outing, in general. Usually her ‘getting ready’ ritual included lots moaning and groaning about how she had nothing to wear or how nothing looked right on her. But not tonight. Tonight was more worrying over if she had too much eyeliner on or if she should have skipped on the lipstick. In the end, she deemed herself finished and, giving the room a quick once over, she made a small face. It was an absolute mess and she had left herself no time to tidy it up so she did what she deemed to be the next best thing and picked everything up off the floor only to relocate it to a pile on the bed. There were times she really wished she could be more of a domestic goddess for him.. but, alas, that time would have to wait for another day.
It was then she came tearing out the bedroom, singing out 'Avengers! Avenger!' as she skipped towards him, eventually, playfully, colliding with him, arms wrapping 'round him as she grinned up at him like the giddy little thing she was. Pressed up against him, she tilted her chin up to look at him, resting it against his sternum as she offered her trademark silly, cheesy, broad Collie smile, eyes shutting tight before asking, still smiling away, "You rea-dy?" Putting a bit of space between them, she eyed him before adding, "You best be," as she moved a hand to his chest, dragging a finger down his middle as she turned her head to the side as she attempted to give him a serious sideways glance but she was in a far too silly mood to sell it. Giving him a quick once over, she then took hold of his hand and promptly began to drag him towards the door, a silly sway to her step. But, before they reached it, she snatched the keys from the ring there and clutched them to her chest as she spun around to face him, a small, silly smile on her lips as she boldly proclaimed, "I'm driving." The car was his – in fact, she had never actually had a vehicle of her own and she had been super lazy getting her license because of that. But she couldn’t resist taking advantage of the opportunity to do so tonight and, with that, she moved a hand to the door knob and went to open the door, stepping up right against him as she slowly pulled it open before she shot him one last grin and then went darting out before he could try and grab the keys off her. |

you till the end [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=style, width: 350px; background-color:#af9ea8; padding:0px;]
It was easy to tell that the tall man had pleased his wife when he came home from work today. Other than three hours, he pretty much had the day off and figured he mid as well use the free time to take his wife out. It wasn't often that they got much time together any more and it was something that pained him. In high school all of his time was devoted to the small girl. In fact he was always at her beckoning call, ready to be next to her whenever she wanted. However, ever since school ended, they got married, and life started, it wasn't the case any more. In fact it was a rare event for them to go out and do something nice. He hardly had any time off to spoil her, nor the money. It made him feel bad and in fact he was waiting for the day that she drifted away. He couldn't blame her. What guy wanted to live with a man they never saw? All he could hope for was that she would understand he was doing all of this for them, so she could be happy. After all, he was the one with two jobs, pulling extra hours so she wouldn't have to. The last thing he wanted was for her to over work herself. She was younger and the girl of his dreams, meaning he was ready to spoil at any coast. Not to mention the fact that she had already given up so much in life to be with him. However that was a different story for another day.
Coming home Adam announced it was movie night. He told the girl she was welcome to pick whatever movie she wanted and he would spoil her with popcorn and candy when they got there. He wasn't fully sure where he was scrapping up the money from, however he knew he would figure it out. This was something he had to do. He needed time with her, time to see her happy. Making his way into the shower as she picked a movie, he quickly washed up before allowing her, her turn. While his wife showed Adam quickly go dressed in simple jeans and a simple shirt. He didn't have much for nice things, she was the one who got those. It wasn't a problem for Adam, he didn't care, he was happy when she was happy.
When he finally heard Collie making her way down the stairs, he smiled, making his way over to the bottom of them. "About time." He teased lightly as she continued to sing about the Avengers. Adam had wanted to see that movie, so it worked out great that she picked it. As she skipped off the steps and into Adams arms, he leaned down to kiss the top of her head lightly. She was so much shorter than him, however it was something he found cute about her. Smiling down as she grinned up at him, he could tell she was really happy to be getting to go out. Adam always told her if she wanted time out she could hang with her friends. After all, if he was being truthful, he didn't always provide the time she needed. Still, he knew she needed time with her husband, after all every wife did, so it was no news that she was excited to get it.
"Yea I'm ready. Remember it doesn't take me a life time to get dressed like you. Let me guess, the room likes like a hurricane just went through it?" He was only teasing. Yes Collie wasn't really the kind of girl to keep things clean, only leaving another job for Adam, however he didn't care. If he had to pull two jobs and then come home and clean and cook to make her happy, he did it. Granted, it didn't leave much for sleep, but Adam managed. He was good a juggling.
Feeling himself being dragged to the door, Adam started to reach out for the keys that were hanging on the ring next to the door, however he lost that war. They were soon clutched in his wives tiny hands as she turned to grin at him. "Come on babe, we all know I'm the better drive." He smiled lightly as he reached out to try and start tickling her, hoping it would make her drop the keys, but before he even got the chance she was running for the care. Following her out he just shook his head. "Just don't wreck it. We don't have the money for a new one." This was very much a half serious comment. The last thing Adam needed to worry about was a new care. Because to be honest, that would never happen. Getting into the car Adam strapped up and looked over at his wife, waiting for her to start driving them to the movies.
