call him hen. or linus. preferably hen, he likes it better than his real name because of linus from charlie brown, who he kind of looks like. or you can call him chicken, too, if you want. he's not going to do anything about it.
linus grew up in chicago. he was a pretty good student in high school and never got into much, except for he once got sent to the dean's office for drawing naked ladies in class. he was really academic up until late freshman year. you know, 4.0, braces and acne, addicted to caffeine? that was him. then, the braces came off and he quit drinking soda because he stopped studying, so the acne went away, along with the 4.0.
he became a loser. stopped hanging out with his old friends and started spending a lot of time at home. he started painting his emotions away and singing real, real late at night. sometimes his mother would come in and ask him why he was wailing at such an hour and he'd say, "because i'm happy, mom." she didn't understand. a lot of people didn't, so they left him alone. and that made him happy.
after barely graduating high school and getting into a habit of smoking cigarettes and living off of coffee and breakfast sandwiches from jack-in-the-box, linus applied to the art school. it was away from chicago. he wanted to get away from everyone he'd ever known to "get to know himself". whatever that meant. his parents were ok with it and because "linus was an exceptional painter", he went away to crystal lake. mr. & mrs. hendrick send him a monthly allowance of about three thousand dollars. they have money. linus doesn't spend it. he lives like a poor boy, but doesn't dress like one. people call him metrosexual. linus laughs.
he's never been good at making friends and likes to talk a lot about nothing. words will just come out of his mouth because they no longer want to be there and they usually don't make any sense at all. sometimes, they're venomous. he won't apologize, if they are. linus doesn't believe in anyone ever being sorry for anything. he doesn't forgive people, and when he's upset with someone, he never forgets. the boy won't fight, though. he'll ignore the problem or he'll run away. maybe he'll lock himself away in his little apartment for three days and throw paint at the walls. his parents own the place. it's covered in linus.
everything is covered in linus. he's infectious. despite how strange and cold and """different""" he comes off as being, he has a way of wriggling into someone's heart, like a virus. and he won't leave. once he's occupied someone in one way or another, whether it be friendship or something more, he'll do anything to make sure he stays. he's a good friend. he's a nice guy. he's a gentleman. he doesn't like it when people call him any of those things. he'll think he's being mocked.
he's stupid.
