He ended everything and, from there, the foundations were laid for one messy mother-daughter relationship. you see, col's mother was never really all there in the head and, therefore, blamed col for 'ruining everything' about her life. col was just lucky enough that her mum's boyfriend stuck around for a while – more out of pity for the girl - but, eventually, they did split and col found herself, more-often-than-not, squatting at her mum's ex's place and, once she hit middle school, running off to stay with friends. her mother's mental instability did col little favour and the girl easily found herself growing up far too quickly. she gravitated to an older crowd, the sort most parents wouldn't want their child to be associated with, and acted out constantly, lipping off to anyone and everyone who tried to stop her. and it only got worse once col was ripped away from everything she knew, the girl getting shipped off to crystal lakes to live with her mother’s parents after her mother died in a car accident. It was safe to say that col hated it here; in fact, it seemed she hated everything. she rarely stepped foot in her grandparent’s home – they might as well have been strangers, after all - and found solace in booze and experimenting with pills and whatever else she could get her hands on; they helped greatly when it came to justifying a lot of her actions to herself. She became extremely attention seeking, dramatic and needy not to mention verbally aggressive and she lashed out constantly. For all intents and purposes, col was travelling down a slippery slope until adam charlston’s persistence paid off. they had initially met back when she was a freshman, passing notes during spanish class mostly mocking the teacher but she had never thought anything of it. and then her junior year came around and there he was again, butting into her life because they shared world history together. she had convinced herself she wanted nothing to do with him but she caved and agreed to go on a date. and the rest, as they say, was history. she had never met someone so genuine or felt anything like what she felt when she was with him and their whirlwind romance resulting in a summer wedding – and she still had a year left in high school. needless to say, she’s a much better person with him. she’s a lot more stable and even-mannered and has given up pretty much all her vices for him. however, the honeymoon period is starting to wear off and the reality of what they did has only now just fully begun to sink in. she’s finding herself a touch overwhelmed and now she’s starting to look to her old habits as a form of relief. SO! friends are few with her but she most certainly needs them. good influences are a definite must but I’m also on the hunt for some enablers or anyone who might get her back into old habits, as well… or anyone who can tolerate her, really c: coworkers would also be fab – she works as a receptionist at the tattoo parlour. enemies will probably be higher in number since she doesn’t always think before she speaks. this can include old enemies or people she cut from her life shen she cleaned herself up. lovers is pretty sorted. she loves adam even tho she can be quite the handful at times. however, there’s plenty of slots open for old flings or even possible flirts. thank you for reading. i <3 you. plot with me :3 Cos she's a mixed up girl in a mixed up world And you know she don't mean any harm So please understand if you take her hand You get much more than you bargained for |
