[atrb=border, 0, true][atrb=style, width:250px; padding:30px; background:#f8f8f8; -moz-box-shadow: 2px 2px 15px #999999; -webkit-box-shadow: 2px 2px 15px #999999; -webkit-box-shadow: 2px 2px 15px #999999; -o-box-shadow: 2px 2px 15px #999999; -icab-box-shadow: 2px 2px 15px #999999; -khtml-box-shadow: 2px 2px 15px #999999;] vanessa mae duval   this is vanessa, or nessa, nessie, v or any other nickname you can think of, though she won't respond if she doesn't like it. she's nineteen, the baby of the family, and grew up in queens, new york with her older siblings and parents. life was far from easy for them all growing up. they were quite poor and home life was hard. her older sister and her were stuck at home watching their mother be abused and getting verbally abused themselves whilst their brothers were out fighting for money. her older sister left when nessie was thirteen and since then, she has become very withdrawn. she quickly learnt over the years not to answer back when she was yelled at and to keep her opinions to herself so she's very quiet and shy, and not all that trusting anymore, especially not when it comes to the whole male thing. i suppose really she's a bit tough to crack. she likes to think she's a nice person - she'd never force on someone else all the yelling and verbal abuse she had growing up and she definitely doesn't go looking for fights. if you manage to get her to laugh, then she'll think maybe you could be friends. when you manage to crack her, you'll find her childish side of pranks and just being down right stupid with each other. she came to crystal lake looking for her sister after plucking up the courage to disappear as well and has managed to get herself a job as a librarian. it's perfect for her - it's quiet, not busy and few people to deal with. plus, all the books she could ever wish for. books were her escape back home, somewhere she could just forget about everything for a little while. friends if you're able to put up with her initial one or two word answers and actually work on being a friend, then you'll definitely have a friend in her. if your willingly to put up with her, she'll think you're worth having as a friend. enemies if she has any, i'm not sure how she'd get them. she doesn't lash out at people and say hurtful things, and definitely avoids physical violence. there are people out there who she hates, and who hate her but not necessarily an enemy. if you have any ideas, let me know! lovers she's never been with anyone. ever. the only boys she really trusts are her brothers so she's lacking serious experience here. someone who can make her laugh and put up with her quiet spells and understands that she may not always want any physical contact would be her idea of perfect. the fact she's not very trusting means nothing will happen instantly so she definitely won't be a flings kind of girl, but other than that, i suppose it's pretty open! ignore the blahness. i don't get on with shippers -.- lol

she is honestly so perfect, exactly how i pictured her really. growing up lily would have been so motherly towards nessa and always the one to protect her from their family and the outisde world in general. leaving new york was a tough decision for her and not one she really thought about but not a day has gone by where she hasn't thought about her baby girl. all of these year she's felt extremely guilty about leaving her and has made attempts to contact her but her parents shut her out so lils kinda gave up. when she finds out she's in town i can see her going through a roller coaster of emotions and crying like a baby when she finally sees her. she'll be overjoyed that she's got her nessa back and i love how similar they are. she's at a point in her life where she's really lonely so it's the perfect time to have her sister around and i'd love it if they built up that close bond again. it might be a little uncomfortable at first but she'd offer for vanessa to stay with her and they can do cute sisterly things together. thanks heaps for taking her <3

awh i'm glad you like her! (: when lily left, i think nessa initially resented her for it, for leaving her behind to deal with everything by herself, especially with how close they were. she'd have felt like lily had abandoned her, but over the last few years she's started to understand why she decided to go, though she still wonders why lily couldn't have taken her with her. so, nessa's been asking in a few stores around if they know you - a girl named lily, blond hair, tall - and someone finally gave her the address, so i was thinking nessa could just kind of show up at lily's door one day, both terrified and excited at seeing her for the first in five years, and instantly forgive her for leaving when she sees lily's okay and kind of throw herself at her in a hug. i'm excited for sisterly bonding time! and no worries! <3

vanessa and karls - hullo! i haveeee karleigh here! she's been here in the us for about three years, but she's actually from new zealand. she's the daughter of a huge corporation that went down the toilet and despite all that, they're still like super wealthy and what not. anyways! i think that maybe vanessa brings out the nicer side of karls?
