-- she threw on a bikini under a tshirt and capri pants and headed to the beach. the first thing she did when she got there was slip off her sandals to feel the warm sand on her feet. she couldn't help but smile. this was much nicer than sitting in her apartment bent over her laptop trying to come up with new ideas for her story. maybe she should start editing the first half. that might spark her interest and ideas again. oh well, it would all come together in the end. it was much harder writing a novel than short stories or freelance work. maybe she could get on at a newspaper somewhere as an editor. her funds were running dangerously short these past couple months. it was still better than back home though. jessa was used to being on her own. she never got support from her parents or her ex. but how could she dwell on those things while she was on the beach?

( TAGGED ) JESSA ( STATUS ) COMPLETE It was a brilliant day. The sun was high in the sky and surprisingly Emma didn’t have group today. They reduced it to two times a week to give more time to her treatment. The girl spent most of her morning indoors relaxing and watching cartoons on her television. Breakfast was served to her and Emma’s parents went out for the afternoon once Emma promised to quit nagging about them not spending any time together without Emma. So now Emma sat alone laughing at some Spongebob. It was her favorite show. It all took place under the sea, Emma’s favorite place. The girl sighed when she found herself thinking about the surf. But she couldn’t surf, not until she was better.
It took ages getting the media off her back long enough to disappear. She went to a place that she hoped no one knew her. She landed here. That was three years ago. This place had a program she had yet tried and so far they switched the program five times on her. She was just feeling more weak and more sick. But she finally told herself sitting around wasn’t going to help her. She had to go out and enjoy the air. Since her last surfing compition, Emma’s hair grew out quite a bit. The texture softed thanks to the lack of salt water, and well the girl looked super model skinny. She lost her muscle definition and most of the time she found it difficult to eat.
The girl finally pushed herself off of her couch and decided to head on out like she made her parents do. She pulled on a pair of shorts and a bikini top. She knew she wouldn’t end up in the water, but being near it was just enough. A straw hat went onto her head and she grabbed her keys. Emma called these moments her cruise moments. She would take the longest way to the beach while the hood was down and she could feel and smell the salty air. Usually it was enough to satisfy her, but today it just went to fast. On beach many people laughed and played, Emma smiled at it until she found someone who was just sitting there. She raised an eyebrow before joining her. “And here we are. At the lovely beach and somehow you thought it was a lovely idea to bring your laptop.” She joked.

"not really a good place is it? i really need to finish my novel though. it's taking me way too long though." jessa shrugged. "i figured the beach was a much more inspiring place to write than my stuffy apartment." she added smiling. the beach was one of her favorite spots. it reminded her of back home when she used to gaze over lake michigain. now it was crystal lake instead. she couldn't imagine living somewhere without a beach.
-- "i'm jessa by the way." she introduced herself politely as she closed her laptop and put it safely in it's waterproof bag. that had been one of the first things she invested in was a good bag. she didn't have to worry about her laptop getting ruined if she happened to bring it to places like the beach. most people thought she was crazy for taking it anywhere at all. she had gotten some of her best ideas in the most weird places. you never knew when you were going to get the urge to write and if she waited she might forget. it frustrated her when she forgot a brilliant idea for her novel. sometimes she wondered if she would ever get a great idea, or if she would even finish this stupid thing. jessa had almost just scrapped the whole thing on several occasions. then she really would be in serious trouble. "what brings you to the beach on this fine day?" she asked, trying to make conversation. socialization was a good thing, it took her mind off her frustrations with her story and all her other problems.
